The process of deciding on a soul colour in order to fulfil the 'mono' brief involved referring back to all the research that I had done. The most useful pieces of research for this task were my concept boards. There was an extremely clear colour direction throughout both boards, and that was red. However, for experimentation purposes, I wanted to try other colour found in my research, to be specific, my initial sketches of my objects related to structure and attachment. 

I made a colour swatch page with all the colours and put them against the 50 designs that I had sketched earlier to see which colour had the best connection. I found that the best colour was red as it was the most relevant to my concept 'bloodline connections'. I am really excited to experiment with red and play with the tones in my garment designs.
