To further extend my research, I made the decision to dissect a lamb's heart in order to grasp a full understanding of how a vein behaves. I chose to manually research this myself as oppose to looking through a medical journal because I was able to interpret and dissect the heart in my own way, therefore leading to a unique outlook of the subject with the hope of a more experimental and fresh design process.
When dissecting the heart and searching for veins (which the butchers had helpfully removed), I kept noticing these white 'heart strings' holding together all the muscles. I really like the way that they've attached themselves portraying the attachment through the medium of structure that we as humans have to living.
This learning tangent that I have gone off on, I hope will aid me in the development of designs to come, I certainly feel inspired.
